ELEARNING CONTENT FOR EVERYONE
Expertly crafted content, exceptional value
As a central bank, the Bank of England has provided financial and banking services for the UK government and the commercial banking system since 1694. It also includes the Prudential Regulation Authority, which is a legal subsidiary that regulates and supervises all the major banks, building societies, credit unions, insurers and investment firms in the UK.
In this course you will learn about the Bank of England’s role in the financial system, its mission, and its operational structure, which is based around four pillars. You will then hear about some of its responsibilities, such as the production of bank notes and banking resolution, and find out what the Bank is doing to support the transition to a net-zero economy. Finally, you will meet some of the key personnel and understand their roles and responsibilities.
Learners will be assessed on their knowledge and understanding through a test at the end of the course.
