Our suite of management training micro-courses teaches new managers the essential learning points they need, when they need it

We’re excited to share our latest developments in digital learning. With more than 20 years of experience at the forefront of digital learning for organisations, businesses, and the education sector, we’re expanding our existing suite of eLearning products. These new courses reflect the current challenges facing organisations.

Our portfolio of courses is growing while we continue to provide the same trusted training on core topics, such as diversity and inclusion, and health and safety compliance.

Our library of eLearning courses has expanded to 200. These include microlearning courses, which are a versatile training solution for busy corporations, and new offerings for mental health, covering both workplace and educational settings.

New training offerings have grown over the last year with new subjects to reflect the new world of work that’s come into play after the COVID-19 pandemic. As the workplace has changed, so have our courses – enabling our clients to upskill their staff.

Microlearning courses

Microlearning is one of the most effective tools for training. Learner fatigue can often be an obstacle to diversity training. As microlearning courses break down topics into smaller, digestible modules, staff can fit training around their schedules.

With microlearning fast becoming the most popular means of training, findings show that not only do most learners prefer it, but that microlearning improves focus and supports long-term retention by up to 80% (RPS Research).

Microlearning is an area in which we’re investing, and offers a versatile training solution for busy firms. These comprehensive but bite-sized training modules enable firms to support and upskill staff.

In 2014, Deloitte found the average employee answered 110 emails per day and couldn’t spare more than 24 minutes per week – that’s 1% of a 40-hour week. In 2023 there are more demands on employee time and, in a typical working week, most employees only have 20 spare minutes. This leaves little time for staff training and development. With microlearning, modules can be completed in just 10 minutes.

With today’s managers short of time, our suite of management training micro-courses teaches new managers the essential learning points they need, when they need it. Guided by a knowledgeable presenter, the modules cover:

  • Communication
  • Defining management
  • Equality and diversity
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Time management
  • Discipline and grievance
  • Managing absence
  • Managing budgets
  • Managing teams
  • Staff induction
  • Performance review

Mental health in the workplace

Poor workplace mental health costs UK employers around £56 billion every year. According to government statistics, employees take around 18 days off a year to deal with stress, depression, or anxiety.

Despite increased media coverage, there’s still a stigma associated with mental health and the workplace. We’re increasing our range of courses to help with mental wellbeing, and these courses are for both workplace and educational settings.

Our latest course aims to reduce the stigma of mental health. Workplaces that support positive mental health are proven to be more effective, and our courses are there to help companies provide a full spectrum of support.
